WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AT CRAFT COUNSELING?

I often hear people I work with say “I almost didn’t come to the appointment but I’m glad I did.” Recognizing this, I want to paint somewhat of a picture of what to expect when meeting with me.

I know asking for help and being vulnerable can be very hard. I also know that, often, you are looking for just the right fit when it comes to talking about emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. When you reach out to me, I will do my best to really understand what your hope is for counseling and what it might look like if we work together.

We will decide, initially, if you want to be seen in person or virtually. Once we set a date, you will get a little bit of paperwork to do before we meet or at your first appointment. Whether online or in-person, I strive to create a chill, calming vibe. We will set goals and decide when and how often to meet. Communication will be open, genuine, real, and honest.

Also, you can read a bit more about me and what counseling might look like on my profile page. Ask yourself, “could I see myself connecting with Tiffany?” Go with your gut … intuition is a valuable tool!

If you are a counseling buff (or have done your research) I leverage acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy (SBFT), behavioral modification and motivational interviewing.
